Our Leadership

John is a seasoned Global Markets and Treasury banker whose career spans over 20 years having operated in key Southern African markets which include South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. He has held several senior positions in Access Finance, Cottco, National Building Society, African Century Limited and African Banking Corporation (BancABC). He has worked in Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa where he has distinguished himself well as a Treasury and Structured Finance Specialist. He also has extensive experience in trading in Equity Index Futures and various fixed income asset classes in top African Markets and Exchanges, most notably, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). John provides overall leadership for the company cutting across corporate governance, strategic direction of the business, stakeholder engagement and management. Under John's leadership, Uniscope/Green Bufaloes is evolving into a truly integrated boutique business combining Trading and Funding activities for businesses operating within the ecosystems and across the value chains of key players in vital economic sectors in our chosen markets. This aligns fully with the company’s long-term vision to grow into a Merchant Banking Group providing best-in-class solutions to its clientele. John holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Finance, Master of Science in Finance and Investments (NUST) , The Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe (IOBZ) Diploma, and ACI Dealing Certificate. John’s hobbies include golf, reading and gardening.
